Originally posted by:No:( i see support,DLC,Commuinty guide but nothing to do with cd-key and in the middle it says that the sims 3 doesnt work on your platform and gives me disscusion forums to go to. I think the only way to get your CD Key if it doesn't show up in the game library is to contact to steam's customer support. Create account there and then create ticket and explain what's the problem. (They reply only on week days.) Or if you've computer with windows and you can install steam to it so you can try to install the game to it. So it may get the CD-key for you, because you've not ran it succefully any time yet, right? (Not sure will this work but worth to try). Finally, I thought this day would never get here. For all the Mac owners out there, hopefully you will be pleased with the official Mac requirements that were posted. Thanks to both! Major Sims fan, but unfortunately not that good with IT. I know I need to update my OS, which I am happy to do and planning to do. I currently have 10.4.11 (I have a 2nd generation white MacBook). My memory is 512MB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I am planning on updating it to 2GB – apparently that’s the max. This machine can handle. I have plenty of disk space to suit requirements as I store everything on a external hard drive like music and documents etc. My BIG problem is the things like graphics This is what I have: Intel GMA 950: Chipset Model: GMA 950 Type: Display Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of shared system memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x27a2 Revision ID: 0x0003 Displays: Color LCD: Display Type: LCD Resolution: 1280 x 800 Depth: 32-bit Color Built-In: Yes Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Display Connector: Status: No display connected What on earth does this mean? And if it’s wrong is it easy to correct??? Thanks Lost in IT, London •. Hi please help me I really want to play sims 2 or 3!!!! I want it badly here is details about my mac: Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro7,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 320M Type: GPU Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) please help me if my mac do have a hope for sims 2 or 3? And what do you think is better for my mac? Is it sims 2 or sims 3? Since it seems that all of you people don’t know whether your sims 3 will run on your Macs, here is some tips. Firstly, if you have Mac OS X 10.4 or lower, you need to PURCHASE Leopard from the mac store. (apple.com) install it and you should be ready. If your wondering if you can just update your computer, you can’t run the game if you don’t meet the requirments. If you notice on the case under requirments, it says Mac OS X 10.5.7 Loepard or higher. So if you dont have that. Then the game wont run. This might sound a bit harsh, but its the truth. Contact the sims 3 site for any more questions. Hey, So I’m thinking about going to purchase The Sims 3 tomorrow, but i’m not sure if it’ll work on my computer. It was actually my grandpa’s computer (he passed last Sunday) so im not too sure how to work it. It’s an iMac i believe, and looking at all these comments/questions^ i see a lot of talk about a ‘video card’ which i’m not sure if i have one, or not. And where could i find it located at? And if it’ll even work on a mac? My cousin let me borrow her old sims, i tried installing and it said it couldn’t on a mac (this was the OLD sims. The original complete collection) So i guess im asking if it’ll work on my iMac, and is a ‘video card’ absolutly needed to run the game? My specs are: Model Identified: iMac7,1 Processer Name: Intel Core 2 Duo. Processer Speed: 2GHz Number Of Processer: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 4MB Memory: 1GB Bus Speed: 800MHz Thank you:] •.
